I think about this a lot when it comes to jumping in the lake near our house, especially right now while the water is still freezing cold.
I know that it's going to be freezing cold - I know it's going to 'shock' my body for a moment, and I know that it will likely be uncomfortable.
And just like a hop into the icy cold water, there's a very similar experience when it comes to nearly anything new we attempt. We know it's going to be different, and it may even be uncomfortable, which makes it all the harder to start in the first place.
But starting is the key.
