Light The Way

Story:

I think the sign of being a good leader is when your own direction and instruction rub off on you. It’s like telling people to follow their own advice - you don’t want to be a hypocrite and instruct someone to do something and then do something completely opposite and counteract them.

However, we often lose sight of our own influence when imposter syndrome and doubt seep in. Am I doing a good job? Am I making a difference? The answer is almost always yes. If you’re doing your best, you’re doing a good job. If you’re still leading with kindness and goodness in your heart, you are making a difference. You have to keep your chin up and continue on the path you set out on, leading the way while continually learning more about yourself and for yourself.

I really appreciate this strap because of the encouragement it holds: be a light, forge a new path, go onward. I hope it serves as the same reminder for you as you go into your daily life; whatever role you have, you have an opportunity to guide others forward. Someone needs your light - more than you know.
