Does anyone else feel heavy at this time of the year? Yes, the change of season and weather is wonderful, and there is a hint of magic in the air, but sometimes the magic seems a little dull. I think some of this can be attributed to seasonal depression, but I also believe that when the end of the year reaches us, everything good, bad, and in-between catches up with us from the year prior. Our thoughts recollect all that happened throughout the year, and it settles upon our chest strong and heavy. 

That’s when it’s important to breathe and turn our eyes forward. There are certain things within our control and others that we can never change, and that’s okay. When it comes to that which weighs us down, we have to take a moment to steady ourselves – otherwise, we’ll become too overwhelmed to function well. As silly as it seems, a good, deep breath can do wonders. It helps us stabilize ourselves, recognizing what we can control – our mindset, attitude, and behavior. We can’t change the past, but we can control how we react and move forward despite it.

If you’re feeling a bit heavy as we approach the end of the year, I hope this ZOX helps you to reset, to work on releasing what you can’t control, and move on with what you can. Take a deep breath and give yourself props for doing so well this far. Finish this year strong. 2023 has great things in store for you.
