No matter how much our society tries to fit us into these perfect little boxes of productivity, we all yearn for the moment of perfect connection with the things we love to do. You know that saying, “If you do what you love you’ll never work a day in your life”? I don’t quite believe that’s true, after all, doing what you love doesn’t mean it’s easy. It’s hard, and it’s hard work. But I do believe that if you do what you love you’ll never regret the life you’ve lived when it’s all over. I’m lucky; I was encouraged from day one to pursue my passion for art. That kind of support isn’t very common for artists. I think my parents were optimistically nervous for me to pursue art as a career. After all, there’s truth to that “starving artist” thing. But I’m so grateful to have had a strong support system because that’s what allowed me to reach for the stars and do what I love. So what’s your passion?
