Always Wear Your Crown

Story

Growing up, I was definitely what you’d call a “princess” girl. I loved all things glittery and magical. And I had a few crowns in my dress-up box to match my love for royalty. Those movies, books, and dolls taught me that being a princess meant being kind, caring, and well, dainty. My age group didn’t have a representation of the strong princess.

But now? I know that you can be dainty and resilient, kind and courageous, caring and determined. You can wear your crown and have thorns. That’s why I love this pairing of the art and name. You don’t need to fit a certain look to represent all these incredible values. You are wonderful because of all the obstacles that you’ve overcome, and there’s no reason to hide your thorns.

When you look down at these pineapples, I want you to enjoy their silliness and remember that there is no wrong way to be you. So go out and wear your crown!
