For this one, it was my son Sven.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eWhen you've got young children who are just learning how to put sentences together, you start to become aware of how often you use the word love. Saying \"I LOVE PIZZA!\" but then telling your 2-year old you love them too is a bit hard for them to understand - are they only as important to you as your pizza? \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAs funny as it sounds, it wasn't until this actually happened to me that I realized how important it was to tell others we love them. On a daily basis, I'll ask Sven \"Did you know daddy loves you?\" His response of \"yeah I know\" stayed the same until just a few days ago. We were driving home and his response was a bit different: \"What does that mean? What is love?\" \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eI explained to him that love means you care about someone very very much - they're on your mind in your heart. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eI looked in the rearview mirror as I was telling him this. His response was one I'll never forget. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\"I love\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003eyou\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003edad.\" \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eNow this isn't the first time he's said that to me, but it was the first time he said it knowing what it really meant. My heart was officially melting. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThat's what this ZOX is all about: It's helping to define what love is before reminding someone how much you care. For some of you, it's a conversation you've never had - that's a serious gift for someone who really needs to hear it. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eFor me, I've realized that it only was only after I defined what love is that it helped show Sven just how important he was to me. She paused, her eyes softened as she reflected on my question, then said, “They are my everything - it's the best way to describe the love that I feel for them.” The question itself made her smile, just thinking about how much she loved her children and the sunshine they bring into her life too.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003eThe song has carried on through decades still, with the same sentiment of the indescribable love parents feel for their children. People who are going through immense struggles that I know need a word of encouragement like this to give them a hug - to remind them that they're loved and we're counting on them to make it through. Like 'Today I Will Not Worry' and 'You're Going To Be Okay', this ZOX was made for struggles all of us will endure at one time or another - the ones that take time to heal. \n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eWe all know that life has a way of showing us some real hills and valleys. Sometimes things are great and we're on top of the world - other times, they're incredibly hard and we're just looking for a way back up. Maybe it's the loss of a loved one at a completely unexpected time, or chronic pain that you've been living with for so long now that your life feels defined by it. Maybe it's PTSD from experiences that have shaped who you've become as a person or a wonderful relationship that ended badly and you can not figure out why. Maybe it's the anxiety of not knowing what's next that's making you feel like a deer in headlights every waking moment. The threads of your life that are being sewn together may not make sense now, but someday you'll see the beauty it's created.
